Resolution

To maintain your full level of Support and Subscription Services, VMware recommends upgrading to the latest version of NSX for vSphere 6.3.6 and above. For recommended versions of NSX, vCenter Server, and ESXi, see the Release Notes.

As per our VMware Product Interoperability Matrices, NSX-v 6.3.6 and later supports vSphere (vCenter/ESXi) 6.0 U2 and above. Customers running vSphere (vCenter/ESXi) 5.5 or lower must upgrade to ESXi 6.0 U2 or higher prior to updating to NSX-v 6.3.6 and later.

Note: When upgrading from NSX-v 6.2.0, 6.2.1 and 6.2.2, you have to perform the two-step upgrade. First, upgrade your NSX Manager to NSX for vSphere 6.2.9. This will be an NSX Manager only upgrade. Once upgrade of the NSX Manager to NSX for vSphere 6.2.9 is successful, continue upgrading to NSX for vSphere 6.3.6 or later. For more information, see Upgrading from NSX-v 6.2.0, 6.2.1 and 6.2.2 to NSX-v 6.3.5 and later version fails (51624).
