If you are unable to take the entire cluster offline or online by clicking Take Offline or Bring Online under Cluster Status in the Admin UI, follow the steps below.
Whenever possible, consider the Shutdown and Startup sequence for a vRealize Operations cluster.

To restart one or more vRealize Operations node(s):
  1. Log in to vRealize Operations admin UI ( https://IP_or_FQDN/admin) as the local admin user.
Note: Replace IP_or_FQDN with the actual IP or FQDN of vRealize Operations UI.
  1. Click Take Offline under Cluster Status.
Note: Wait for Cluster Status to show as Offline.
  1. Log in to the vSphere Webclient.
  2. Navigate to the node you want to restart in the vSphere Webclient.
  3. Right-Click on the node and select Power > Restart Guest.
Note: Repeat steps 4 and 5 on any other nodes you want to restart.
  1. After the nodes have rebooted, log in to the vRealize Operations admin UI as the local admin user.
  2. Click Bring Online under Cluster Status.
Note: Wait for the Cluster Status to show as Online.
