Issue/Introduction
Symptoms:
After upgrading vCenter Server to version 6.x or higher, you see new alarms warning of duplicate MAC addresses when provisioning new VMs in your vCloud Director environment.

Cause
This issue occurs because a new alarm was added in vCenter Server 6.x that will be triggered during the course of normal vCD provisioning an identical clone or before guest customization is complete.
Resolution
This is an expected behavior.
If you do not want to see these alarms in the future, VMware recommends to disable the alarm in the vCenter Server.
