Summaries and Symptoms
This patch updates the esx-ui VIB to introduce a new version of VMware Host Client. For more information about VMware Host Client, see VMware Host Client documentation.
The following Host Client binaries are attached in the attachment section of this KB:
- esxui-offline-bundle-6.x-3959074.zip - VMware Host Client offline bundle for ESXi 6.0 (Standalone VIB for VMware Host Client can be installed on ESXi 6.0).
- esxui-signed-3959074.vib - VMware Host Client standalone VIB (Offline bundle for VMware Host Client can be used with VMware Update Manager to install the VIB on multiple hosts)
Patch Download and Installation
The typical way to apply patches to ESXi hosts is through the VMware vSphere Update Manager. For details, see the Installing and Administering VMware vSphere Update Manager.
ESXi hosts can be updated by manually downloading the patch ZIP file from the VMware download page and installing the VIB by using the esxcli software vib command. Additionally, the system can be updated using the image profile and the esxcli software profile command.
