Issue/Introduction

This article provides information about vRealize Suite 7 Entitlement and Fulfilment.

Resolution

If you have vRealize Suite 6 and on active SnS, you are entitled to the following:

vRealize Suite 6.0 Advanced (CPU)

You are entitled for and will be fulfilled with:
  • vRealize Suite 7.0 Advanced (PLU)
  • vRealize Business Enterprise (CPU)

vRealize Suite 6.0 Advanced (25 OSI bundle)

You are entitled to and will be fulfilled with:
  • vRealize Suite 7 Advanced (2 PLU)
  • vRealize Business Enterprise (25 OSI bundle)
vRealize Suite 6.0 Enterprise (CPU)

You are entitled to and will be fulfilled with:
  • vRealize Suite 7.0 Enterprise (PLU)
  • vRealize Business Enterprise (CPU)
  • vRealize Configuration Manager (CPU)

vRealize Suite 6.0 Enterprise (25 OSI bundle)

You are entitled to and will be fulfilled with:
  • vRealize Suite 7.0 Enterprise (3 PLUs)
  • vRealize Business Enterprise (25 OSI bundle)
  • vRealize Configuration Manager (25 OSI bundle)
Note: Portable licensing Unit (PLU) allows usage of vRealize Suite to manage unlimited operating system instances (OSI) deployed on on-premise vSphere CPU or up to 15 OSIs deployed on the public cloud including VMware vCloud Air, vCloud Air Network Partners, other supported public clouds, as well as third-party hypervisors and physical servers.
Each vRealize Suite 7 PLU entitles to 1 CPU or 15 OSI of VMware vRealize Log Insight.

Due to new Packaging of the vRealize Suite 7 Product family all existing vRealize Suite 6 customers are being fulfilled with separate keys for existing functionality (i.e. vRealize Business Enterprise & vRealize Configuration Manager). For these components the prior licensing mechanism (Per CPU OR Per OSI) is being preserved.

Note on the Upgrade Process:

vRealize Suite 6 consists of the following components which currently have separate keys in the license portal in Customer Connect:

vRealize Suite 6.0 Advanced
  • VMware vRealize Operations 6 Advanced
  • VMware vRealize Automation 7 Advanced
  • VMware vRealize Business 8 Advanced
  • VMware vRealize Log Insight 3

vRealize Suite 6 Enterprise
  • VMware vRealize Operations 6 Enterprise
  • VMware vRealize Automation 7 Enterprise
  • VMware vRealize Business 8 Enterprise
  • VMware vRealize Log Insight 3

Only vRealize Operations 6 show as available to upgrade to the new vRealize Suite 7 in Customer Connect. The remaining products of vRealize Suite 6 are removed from the portal after performing the upgrade to vRealize Suite 7. The new vRealize Suite 7 key enables all of the functionality in the individual components.
