Introduction

This article provides information on upgrading an external deployment of VMware vCenter Single Sign-On 5.5 to a VMware vCenter Server 6.0 Platform Services Controller. These conditions exist within the demonstration environment:

  • VMware vCenter Server, Inventory Service and vSphere Web Client are installed on a separate Windows machine vc1.vcloud.local
  • All machines in this example have been configured with a static IP address
  • Forward and reverse DNS lookup of sso.vcloud.local and vc1.vcloud.local are tested and verified
