This article provides information on the current support for SMTP authentication and STARTTLS for vCenter Server and vCenter Server Appliance 5.x and 6.x.

Resolution

Prior to vCenter 6.7 U1 and 6.5 U2d these features are not available in the vCenter Server and vCenter Server Appliance.
