Symptoms:
  • El host ESX/ESXi en vCenter Server 4.x informa el error:

    Unable to apply DRS resource settings on host. The operation is not allowed in the current state. This can significantly reduce the effectiveness of DRS.

Resolution

Este error no tiene ningún impacto en la producción y puede ignorarse de forma segura.

Para eliminar este error, reinicie el servicio del hostd. Para obtener más información, consulte Restarting the Management agents on an ESX or ESXi Server (1003490).

Si el error persiste luego de reiniciar el servicio del hostd:

  1. Verifique que EVC esté habilitado en el clúster. Vaya a Edit Settings del clúster y seleccione VMware EVC.
  2. Si EVC está habilitado, apague las máquinas virtuales.
  3. Coloque el host ESX en modo de mantenimiento.
  4. Elimine el host ESX del clúster arrastrándolo fuera del clúster.
  5. Vuelva a agregar el host ESX al clúster arrastrándolo dentro del clúster.
  6. Salga del modo de mantenimiento.
