This is a known issue in VMware Fusion 4.1.3 after upgrading to OS X Mountain Lion (Mac OS X 10.8). This issue is fixed in VMware Fusion 5.0 and later. To know more about VMware Fusion 5.0, see

In case of Fusion 4.1.3, here is the work around on a multiple monitor setup:
- In the VMware Fusion menu bar, click View > Full Screen Minibar > Always Show.
- When in Full Screen mode, drag the Full Screen Minibar to the secondary display (the one that does not have the Mac menu bar).
If the issue persists after attempting the workaround:
- Collect diagnostic information to send to VMware Technical Support. For more information, see Collecting diagnostic information for VMware Fusion (1003894).
