- Virtual Disk Development Kit (VDDK) 5.0 Update 1
- Virtual Disk Development Kit (VDDK) 1.2.2
Note: Both the ESXi/ESX host and the VDDK version being used by your backup software must be updated for this issue to be resolved.
To determine which version of VDDK your backup product is using, locate and right-click the
vixdisklib.dll
file to view the version and build number. The
vixdisklib.dll
file is normally located on your backup server.
- If your backup software is using VDDK version 5.0, the GA version shows 5.0 build 427917, while the 5.0 Update 1 version shows 5.0 build 614080. For more information, see the VDDK 5.0 U1 Release Notes.
- If your backup software is using VDDK version 1.2.1, it must be updated to use VDDK version 1.2.2 build 702422. For more information, see the VDDK 1.2.2 Release Notes.
Please contact your backup software vendor to determine the best approach to update the VDDK version in use.
