Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
  • SQL host is missing from plugin inventory
  • "Add a Host" workflow fails with "name already exists!"
  • Resource configuration item exists for this host within Design > Resources > Library > SQL > Configuration > <SQLHostGUID>


Environment

VMware vRealize Orchestrator 7.x

Cause

An orphaned resource element configuration object still exists for this old host.

Resolution

  1. Delete the XML resource element object that represents this hosts configuration within the plugin found under:
Design > Resources > Library > SQL > Configuration > <SQLHostGUID>
  1. Re-run "Add a host" using the same name of the deleted object from above.
