Issue/Introduction

In the default configuration, vCloud Director closes an OVF or media upload session after 60 minutes of idle time. Beginning with vCloud Director 8.20, a system administrator can specify a custom value for the length of time that the system will wait before closing an idle upload session.

Environment

VMware Cloud Director for Service Provider 8.20.x

Resolution

Use the manage-config subcommand of the cell-management-tool to set the value of the ovftool.vcloud.timeout.minutes property. This example sets the value to 120 minutes.

$VCLOUD_HOME/bin/cell-management-tool manage-config -n ovftool.vcloud.timeout.minutes -v 120
