Summaries and Symptoms

The ESXi 6.5.0d release includes new features and bug fixes related to vSAN 6.6. For more information, see the vSAN 6.6 Release Notes and the vSAN 6.6 documentation .

Issues fixed in this patch (and their relevant symptoms, if applicable) include:
  • VMware vSAN health checks are now available in the ESXi Host Client: For a VMware vSAN enabled host, you can now view the VMware vSAN configuration, peer hosts, and health checks under the Monitor section of the VMware vSAN datastore.
  • When you try to log in to the VMware Host Client by using Chrome 57, the VMware Host Client immediately reports an error. The reported error is an Angular Digest in progress error.

Patch Download and Installation

An ESXi system can be updated using the image profile, by using the esxcli software profile command. For details, see the vSphere Command-Line Interface Concepts and Examples and the VMware vSphere Upgrade Guide. ESXi hosts can also be updated by manually downloading the patch ZIP file from the Patch Manager Download Portal and installing the VIB by using the esxcli software vib command.
