Issue/Introduction

Unable to configure some advanced configuration options using host profiles. The configuration options are also not configured after you boot a stateless host that uses Auto Deploy.

These configuration options are not supported:

ESXi 5.0:

Resolution

To resolve this issue, perform one of these tasks to configure the advanced configuration options:
  • Select the host configuration tab for the host in vSphere Client.
  • Use ESXCLI on the host.
Note: These options require a management agent restart to be effective. For more information, see Restarting the Management agents on an ESX or ESXi Server (1003490).
