If this issue occurs, check the following ESX vSwitch VLAN settings:
- Ensure you are using the correct VLAN mode (EST or VST).
- If the physical switch is set to access port, ensure that the vMotion vSwitch VLAN ID is set to 0.
- If the physical switch is set to trunk mode, ensure that the proper VLAN ID is set on vMotion vSwitch.
- Utilize vSwitch CDP information to assess physical switch configuration.
When the settings are correct, retry the vMotion operation.
