Performance in Solaris 10 Guest Improves with Sun Patch

I notice reduced performance in my Solaris 10 guest operating systems. Why?

Solution

The reduced performance is due to problems associated with the Global Descriptor Table (GDT). To address this issue, apply kernel update 118855-19 from Sun. Applying this fix improves performance substantially, especially for the 32-bit version of Solaris 10.
