Shared Folder Not Visible in Windows Me, Windows 9x or DOS Guest (950)

I set up a shared folder using the Virtual Machine Control Panel. But the folder is not visible in my Windows ME, 9x, or DOS guest operating system. What is wrong?
Solution
Shared folders are not supported in the following guest operating systems:
Windows Me
Windows 98
Windows 95
Windows 3.x
DOS
On a Windows host, you can use drag and drop to move files easily between the host and a Windows 95 or higher Windows virtual machine.
Note: VMware Tools must be installed in the guest operating system to support drag and drop.
