Unable to Create Virtual Disk on a Mapped Network Drive (8758604)
Details
You cannot create a virtual disk on a mapped network drive on a
Windows host. When you attempt to do so, the console displays an
error message that includes, "The specified network password is not
correct."
Solution
This is a known issue in VMware Server 1.0.
