Cannot Install Oracle 8i in Virtual Machine
Details
I cannot install Oracle 8i, versions 8.1.6 or 8.1.7, in a virtual machine.
Solution
There is a known issue with this software install. Please download patch 1507768 from Oracle's Support page (a login is required). Install the patch in the virtual machine and try installing Oracle 8i again.
