Changes in software and hardware iSCSI configurations require you to reboot your host

Details

When I make changes in the iSCSI configuration through the iSCSI Initiator Properties dialog box, the changes do not take effect.

Solution

When you change certain configuration parameters for your software or hardware iSCSI initiators, you need to reboot your host even if the user interface does not indicate that a reboot is required.

Reboot the host when you make changes that include renaming your iSCSI initiator, disabling the initiator, modifying dynamic discovery and CHAP credentials, and so on.

For more information on iSCSI configuration, see Configuring and troubleshooting basic software iSCSI setup (1008083).
