Errors: 6000002 or "The VMware Authorization Service is not running"

Details

You are experiencing these issues:
  • After installing GSX Server and rebooting, you see the error:
     
    VMware Authorization Service is not running.
     
  • Error 6000002 appears when logged on to a Windows domain.

Solution

To resolve this issue, login to the Windows host as a local administrator (do not log on to the domain) and reinstall VMware GSX Server.
