Accessing Host Hardware in a Virtual Machine

Can virtual machines access all of the physical hardware on the host system?

Solution

At this time VMware virtual machines cannot access hardware installed on the host machine directly. VMware virtual machines run on a set of virtualized hardware that does not mimic the hardware in your host system.
