Programming API Might Crash if Client Calls VixHost_Disconnect( ) Twice

Details

If a Programming API client calls the function VixHost_Disconnect( ) twice for the same host without reconnecting between the calls, the Vix library crashes. This can happen if the client has opened the host twice and has two different handle variables that refer to the same host.

Solution

This is a known issue in the Programming API for VMware Server 1.0.
