This article explains why VMotion between Rev E and Rev F AMD CPUs may fail.

Solution

You cannot perform VMotion operations between AMD Rev E and Rev F CPUs for 64bit guest operating systems.
 
To perform a VMotion operation between AMD Rev E and Rev F CPUs for 32bit guest operating systems, you must use a CPUID mask to disable RDTSCP. For more information, see:
