Do Not Use Symbolic Path Link Names in the Programming API (3569536)
Details
The Programming API does not follow symbolic links in path names.
Solution
If you use the Programming API to open a virtual machine that the
console references with a
symbolic link, use the original path name in the API instead of the
symbolic link.
