Installing Solaris 10 6/06 Fails with Disk Errors
Details
When you install the Solaris 10 6/06 guest operating system on some EMC CLARiiON CX storage arrays, the installer fails to recognize the storage array RDMs as disks on which the guest operating system software can be installed. In such a case, attempts to install Solaris 10 6/06 on guests with no other virtual disks fail with a "No Disk Found" error message.
Solution
This problem does not apply to earlier releases of Solaris.
This problem is being tracked as Sun bug 6466340.
To work around this problem, install Solaris 10 6/06 guests on non-RDM virtual disks. You can use RDMs for additional storage after the guest operating system installation is complete.
