BIOS Scan with QLogic HBA (QLA2462 and QLA2460) Can Fail

Details

A BIOS scan using QLogic HBA (QLA2462 and QLA2460) with the following firmware and BIOS versions can fail:
  • firmware 4.00.12 and BIOS 1.04
  • firmware 4.00.18 and BIOS 1.12

Solution

To work around this problem, use the latest available BIOS for the HBA. 
 
VMware has tested the following working configuration:
  • QLogic NOVRAM and FLASH Programming Utility Version 1.62
  • firmware 4.00.18 and BIOS 1.21
