Embedded tables in VMware Service Manager 8.0 Knowledge Base entries are not indexed properly

Symptoms

  • Words in the VMware Service Manager 8.0 Knowledge Base (KB) are getting indexed together when embedded tables are used in a knowledge article within VMware Service Manager
  • Embedded tables within VMware Service Manager 8.0 KB entries are not indexed properly
  • Cannot perform a knowledge search of VMware Service Manager 8.0 KB for certain words

Resolution

A workaround is available that may resolve this issue for your environment, but this workaround requires the assistance of VMware Support. File a support request with VMware Support and note this KB article ID in the problem description. For more information, see How to Submit a Support Request
