VirtualCenter 1.x to VirtualCenter 2.0 Database Upgrade Using Oracle 10.2.0.1 Might Fail

Why did upgrading my VirtualCenter 1.x to VirtualCenter 2.0 database fail when I used Oracle 10.2.0.1?

Solution

When you upgrade a VirtualCenter 1.x database using Oracle 10.2.0.1, selecting the Preserve Performance Data box can cause the upgrade to fail.

To work around this issue, clear the Preserve Performance Data box. Doing this allows the upgrade to be completed, but does not preserve existing performance data.
 
Note: This issue is fixed in VirtualCenter 2.0.1.
