Failure to Connect to CD-ROM Due to Incorrect Path

If a virtual machine is configured with the incorrect path in virtual machine properties to an ISO image, the virtual machine still successfully powers on. However, the Events tab for the virtual machine displays an event indicating the failure to connect the CD-ROM.

If the CD-ROM does not appear to be accessible in the guest, check the Events tab to see if an error occurred when connecting the CD-ROM. Then check the virtual machine properties to make sure that the path to the CD-ROM is correct and that it actually exists.
