Configuring a Duplicate IP Address for VMotion Causes an Error (2224)
Details
Network addresses can be assigned to only one entity. If any
addresses associated with VMotion conflict with other addresses in
your network, VMotion fails.
Solution
If your environment has conflicting addresses, attempts to use
VMotion might result in a VMotion-specific error, a general
networking error, or a timeout.
This issue is resolved in ESX Server 3.0.1.
