Changes Made for Database Password or Maximum Number of Database Connections in VI Client Do Not Take Effect Until the VirtualCenter Service Is Restarted

How can I make my changes for the database password or the maximum number of database connections to be created in VI Client take effect?

Solution

Changes made in the Adminstration > Server Settings > Database for the database password or the maximum number of database connections in VI Client do not take effect immediately.

You must restart the VirtualCenter service for the new settings to take effect.
 
Note: This issue is fixed in VirtualCenter 2.0.1.
