Why do negative numbers sometimes appear for disk sizes in SMC 2.1 in the Solaris 10 operating environment?

This is a Solaris issue and suspected to be present in Solaris 9 as well.

The issue can be fixed by applying the SunOS 5.10_x86: Solaris Management Patch 119316-10.
