Email is not being sent when a task is forwarded by a conditional branch
Symptoms
- Email is not being sent when a task is forwarded by a conditional branch
Resolution
There is no configurable way to automatically generate email notifications from tasks assigned by a conditional branch.
This workaround this issue and achieve this functionality:
Caution: VMware recommends that you test the workaround in a development environment before implementing on a live system to ensure that desired functionality is achieved.
- Go to Infra Admin > Workflow Template and select the affected workflow.
- Within the workflow, open one of the tasks that is activated when the conditional branch selects it and forwards it to a certain group based on customer location.
- Take over the task if needed, and then click Internal button.
- From the Forward To list, select any officer, and select Email. Click OK.
- Repeat steps 1-4 for each task within the workflow that is activated based on the customer location conditional branch.
- Save the workflow.
When the conditional branch forwards the task to the selected group, the members should all receive emails notifying them of this activity.
