Virtual Machine Startup/Shutdown Host Settings Do Not Reflect Changes to Virtual Machine Settings
Details
If the shutdown action of a virtual machine is changed to a
non-system default setting outside of the virtual
machine's Startup/Shutdown host configuration settings, and
the shutdown delay is preserved to be the system default value, the
change in shutdown action is not reflected in the UI.
Solution
When modifying the shutdown action of a virtual machine to a
non-system default setting, make sure that the shutdown delay is
set to a value different than the system default.
