Cannot Power On Virtual Machine That Has two or More CPUs (2159)
Details
Solution
-
Add a host to VirtualCenter and allocate a vSMP license to it. If power on fails, remove and add this host again with a license assigned to it.
-
After allocating a license to a host, wait one or two minutes before powering on the virtual machine.
-
Power on a virtual machine that has only one CPU before powering on any virtual machines with two or more CPUs.
-
Remove and reallocate the license for this host.
Note: This issue is fixed in VirtualCenter 2.0.1 with further fixes in place in VirtualCenter 2.0.2.
