HA Configuration Tasks Fail and an Error Message Appears When I Configure an HA Cluster (2135)

I'm trying to enable VMware High Availability (HA) for a cluster, but all configuration tasks fail and the following message appears:

Could not find a primary host to configure DAS on

What does this mean?

Solution

This might occur because a host that was removed from the VirtualCenter inventory still appears on the internal list of hosts for this cluster. To fix this problem, create a new cluster and add hosts to this new cluster.

Note: This issue is resolved in ESX Server 3.0.1 and VirtualCenter 2.0.1.
