vmware-cmd Doesn't Recognize Symbolic Links to VMFS3 Volumes (2122)
Details
When I run vmware-cmd, symbolic links of VMFS3 volumes do not work.
What should I do?
Solution
When you run vmware-cmd to register a virtual machine, always use the
UUID path of the VMFS volume instead of the symbolic link path.
Although it is possible to register the virtual machine using
the two different paths, doing so can create duplicate entries and
lead to unpredictable results.
