Activating the Data Import Wizard in VMware Service Manager 8.x

Purpose

This article provides information on activating the Data Import Wizard in VMware Service Manager 8.x

Resolution

To activate Data Import Wizard and to access it through the Server Console:
  1. Open the Registry Editor.
  2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE> SOFTWARE> Infra> infraEnterprise.
  3. Add the registry key EnableDataImportWizard.
  4. Set the value of the registry key. The possible registry values are:
  • 1 or Y = True
  • 0, N, or empty = False
Note: The Data Import Wizard is a customized feature and is supported only with the solicited help of VMware professional services.
