Upgrading to VMware vSphere Storage Appliance Manager 5.5 fails when using a non-default password (2060154)
- Cannot upgrade to vSphere Storage Appliance (VSA) 5.5 when you have changed the default configured password for the VSA cluster
- Upgrading to VSA 5.5 fails if you are using a non-default password configured for the VSA cluster
- You see an error indicating that the cluster is unavailable after the failed upgrade
This is a known issue with VSA 5.5.
To work around the issue, before upgrading the VSA cluster, change the password to the default password. The default password is svapass.
You can revert to a password of your choice after the upgrade completes.
For instructions on changing the VSA cluster password, see the Change the VSA Cluster Password section in the VMware vSphere Storage Appliance Installation and Administration Guide.
