Resolution

This issue is resolved in vCenter Server Appliance 5.5.0b, available at VMware Downloads. For more information, see the vCenter Server 5.5.0b Release Notes.

To work around this issue when you do not want to upgrade, complete the SSO configuration via the vCSA Administrator interface:
  1. In a web browser, open the vCenter Server Appliance management interface. The default URL is:

    https://VCSA_Appliance_Address:5480

  2. Log in to the appliance with root permissions.
  3. Click the vCenter Server tab.
  4. In the Summary page, click the Stop Server button.
  5. In the SSO page, complete the SSO Settings form with the appropriate configuration information and click Save Settings
  6. Return to the Summary page and click Start Server.
