Virtual SAN clustering has been disabled on an ESXi host (2058794)

Details

When Virtual SAN clustering is disabled on an ESXi host, the following error message displays:

VSAN clustering and directory services have been disabled thus will be no longer available.

This event might occur when you move the host out of the Virtual SAN cluster.

Impact

The host is no longer a part of the Virtual SAN cluster. Its storage disks cannot contribute to the Virtual SAN datastore.

Solution

If the host is moved out of the Virtual SAN cluster unintentionally or by an accident, move the host back to the cluster.
