The user interface of vSphere Storage Appliance fails to display the progress status of operations that are running (2050657)
- The vSphere Storage Appliance (VSA) user interface (UI) fails to display the progress status of operations that are running.
- You cannot see the progress status of the running operations in the VSA UI
VSA uses the streaming functionality of BlazeDS. As BlazeDS is incompatible with the tcServer version used by vCenter Server 5.1 Update 1, the UI of VSA might not display the progress status of operations, such as VSA configuration and VSA network reconfiguration. This issue applies to VSA 5.1.1 running with vSphere 5.1 Update 1.
This issue is resolved in VSA 5.1.3. For more information, see the VMware vSphere Storage Appliance 5.1.3 Release Notes.
To download VSA 5.1.3, see the VMware Download Center.
Alternatively, to work around this issue, follow the actions that appear in the Recent Tasks pane of the vSphere Client. After the tasks (such as configuration) complete, open a new vSphere Client session and access the VSA UI.
