After updating to Windows Management Framework 3.0, the View PowerCLI cmdlets fail or cause the Microsoft PowerShell 3.0 process to fail. (2047697)

Details

This issue occurs when you update your Windows 7 SP1 or Windows Server 2008 R2 system to Windows Management Framework 3.0, following the instructions in Microsoft KB article 2506143, . If you then attempt to run the View PowerCLI cmdlets, the cmdlets fail or the PowerShell 3.0 process itself fails.
