Increasing deployment timeout value for vFabric Application Director 5.0 (2045797)
During an application deployment or an update
process, some scripts might take more than the default time to provision. You can increase the deployment timeout value to avoid the deployment or an update process from failing.
- Use the SSH client to log in to the vFabric Application Director appliance as the user darwin_user.
- Open a command prompt.
- Switch user to root.
sudo su -
- Open the /etc/init.d/vmware-darwin-tcserver file.
- In the CATALINA_OPTS section, add the following parameters and values.
Where XX represents the deployment timeout value in minutes. The default values are 60 minutes and 40 minutes respectively. The hosttask.timeout value must be at least 5 minutes more than the cal.provisioning.timeout value.
- Restart the vFabric Application Director server.
sudo service vmware-darwin-tcserver restart
