Configuring VMware vCloud Integration Manager 1.x fails with the error: GET api/admin/extension/networkPoolReferences returned 406 No valid API version can be selected (2045112)

Symptoms

When configuring the vCloud Integration Manager for the first time, you experience these issues:
  • After you configure vCloud Director connection information and click Next, you see this error: 

    Execution exception NoSuchElementException occured : None.get This exception has been logged with id 6dainkmc1

  • You see this error on top of the Org Admin selection screen. 
  • After you close the error, you see the Org Admin selection screen, but you cannot select anything or advance to the next screen. 
  • The vCloud Integration Manager user interface logs report this error: 

    ERROR com.vmware.vcloud.vcaf.client.VcdClientIgnoreCertErrors$ - GET api/admin/extension/networkPoolReferences returned 406 No valid API version can be selected

Cause

This issue occurs due to an incompatibility between the API calls coming from vCloud Integration Manager and the vCloud Director endpoint. vCloud Integration Manager 1.0 is not compatible with vCloud Director 5.1. 

Resolution

This is a known issue in vCloud Integration Manager 1.0. 
 
Currently, there is no workaround for this issue.
