Disk information is not displayed in Managed Object Browser (MOB) for HP ProLiant DL180 G6 and HP ProLiant DL380 G6 servers (2045013)

Details

Disk information is not displayed for HP ProLiant DL180 G6 and HP ProLiant DL380 G6 servers at the following MOB URL:
mob/?moid=healthStatusSystem&doPath=runtime.systemHealthInfo.numericSensorInfo

If the vSphere Client is directly connected to the ESX host, you can view the disk information through Health Status but cannot use OpenNMS to monitor the ESX host.

Solution

In the vSphere Client, Health Status displays three kinds of information:

  • Numeric sensor information
  • Hardware status information
  • Discrete sensor information
The disk information is part of hardware status information and can be accessed at the following MOB URL:
mob/?moid=healthStatusSystem&doPath=runtime.hardwareStatusInfo.storageStatusInfo

Note: Disk information is hardware dependent and is not consistent across platforms. On platforms that support disk sensors, you can access disk information from the numeric sensor MOB URL mob/?moid=healthStatusSystem&doPath=runtime.systemHealthInfo.numericSensorInfo.
