Some messages are missing in the log files collected by the Syslog collector (2044740)

When using a vSphere Syslog collector running on a Windows machine, you see that some of the messages are missing in the log files
Syslog file has missing messages

This is a known issue in vSphere 5.x and occurs when using the vSphere Syslog collector on a Windows virtual machine or physical server.

To work around this issue, use a Syslog server on the vCenter Server Appliance or use a third-party Syslog server.
