Customer Approval tasks in Service Manager are not forwarded to the recipient defined in the preceding conditional branching task (2044733)

Symptoms

  • In VMware Service Manager 9.1.x, when a customer approval task is assigned by the preceding conditional branching task to go to the request creator's manager, it does not get assigned to anyone.
  • Customer Approval tasks are not forwarded to the recipient defined in the preceding conditional branching task.

Resolution

VMware is aware of this issue.
 
A resolution for this issue is being evaluated for inclusion in a future release.

To workaround this issue, open the affected Customer Approval task in the workflow template and assign the relevant recipient to the Recipient field.
