Clone of Service Level Agreement does not work in VMware Service Manager 9.x (2044224)

Symptoms

  • You are unable to clone a Service Level Agreement (SLA). 
  • When attempting to clone an SLA, the content from the cloned SLA is not copied to the new SLA.
  • In an application trace, you see this error: 

    ThID:[3636] Infra.Rules.QueryCommand.Execute ERROR: (VMware Service Manager Web Application System #1 System1) (Query: CLONE AGREEMENT SERVICES SELECT for System #System1 1)

    File: queries-slm.sql

    Message: Invalid column name 'HDS_TABLE'

    Invalid column name 'ITEM_REF'.

    Type: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException

    Code: 80131904

    Source: .Net SqlClient Data Provider

    Stack Trace:    at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection.OnError(SqlException exception, Boolean breakConnection)

Resolution

VMware is aware of this issue. It has been assessed as an acceptable limitation of the product with no immediate plans to resolve.
